Holly was such a great sport for this session! She requested to have her Boudoir shoot done solely with her husband's Harley Davidson. This was my first boudoir outside and definitely my first with a motorcycle! Posing with a bike the entire time had it's challenges, but I think we did alright :)
Thanks, Holly! It was a pleasure working with you :)
Much Love <3
Late last month I got to hang out with the Burns family. They thought ahead and came very prepared by bringing a cousin along for entertainment for the kids which ended up being a really great thing! (If you have children who don't like to participate in photos feel free to bring someone along to try to help out with the process by distracting them and making them giggle) ;)
Christine's family owns Stirling's so they chose one of their orchards for their session. The apples are always a big hit with the children - It gives them something to hold onto and even snack on.
It was an extremely bright morning as you can see from the photos but we made the best of it! Here is a peek of some of the moments we captured for them…

This wedding was one of the very first weddings I wrote down in my schedule last year. It felt like forever for august to arrive but once it did it came and left in a hurry! I wasn't really sure if weddings were going to be my thing back when I booked this one but Kelly assured me they would be and that I would do great! Thank-you Kelly for believing in me enough to push me to start taking on wedding clients, because I'm not so sure that I would have dared otherwise. You're a great friend <3
I am so happy for both of you - you truly are meant to be and now it's finally official!!
I wish you a lifetime full of the perfect combination of ups and downs to keep your love as strong 20 years from now as it is today <3 xoxo
Much Love <3
P.S. I totally just realized part way through that I didn't upload the the images I had specifically formatted for web use so hopefully the quality isn't jeopardized too much - way too much time and work to go back and fix them now, lol! Opps!
Thanksgiving is such a wonderful time - It's a chance to stop what you are doing, reflect on the many blessings we all have in our lives, spend some much needed time with our families and to enjoy multiple dinners where you eat way too much and over indulge in way too much desert! At least that's how my Thanksgivings usually go.
Well 5 short years ago and what seems like just yesterday I can recall sitting down at the dinner table at my in-laws for Thanksgiving trying to force myself to eat some turkey and all of the other amazing things that go along with it, however being unable to because I was in the midst of having contractions with our first child. Needless to say it wasn't my most relaxing supper I have ever had but it is and will most certainly almost always be the most memorable Thanksgiving dinners of my life :) Yesterday our oldest of our little blessings turned 5 and it's still so hard to believe that it has been 5 years already! That little girl is one of the many things in my life that I am so truly thankful for! Happy Birthday, Princess <3

Something else I am super thankful for? All of my amazing clients! This next couple to be featured on my blog are some pretty amazing people. Allison was one of my big sister's very best childhood friends growing up so I saw a lot of her over the years! Being the cute little sister that I was, Allison and my sister used to make me do some pretty silly things for their own entertainment/enjoyment! Being a couple years younger they basically took advantage of my lack of knowledge in some areas… for instance, they often sent me out of the bedroom to go ask my parents what a particular word meant.. luckily my parents were good sports about it most of the time and just laughed and sent me on my way :) All in a days work of being little sister, glad I was able to do my part ;)
When Allison asked me if they could bring their little dog Jack for their engagement session I was so excited! I've seen this handsome little guy plastered all over Facebook and Instagram over the past couple years and I couldn't wait to finally meet him! Jack travelled back home to Nova Scotia with these guys all the way from Korea where they adopted him - How cool is that!? In fact they actually have 3 little pooches that were acquired this way. See, I told you they were amazing :)
Here's a taste from our time together at Bell Park in Mt. Uniacke.
I had so much fun with you guys! Congratulations on your engagement! xo
Much Love <3
I recently met up with Emma and her Mommy for their Maternity session and although Emma had zero interest in me and having her photos taken we still managed to come away with some cherished photos. A couple weeks ago little Emma came back to visit me in the studio to have a little mini Birthday session. once again, she wasn't overly interested in having her photo taken, but luckily I came in well armed with delicious, beautiful cupcakes made by the one and only Cakes by Korri. Thank-you, Korri - those little cakes sure saved the day! :)
Emma not only will be celebrating her 2nd birthday, but she will also soon be welcoming her new baby brother who is due to arrive this weekend! I can't wait to have you guys back and to meet your newest edition which will be followed by your Family session in November.
Happy Birthday Emma! <3

This blog post is EXTREMELY over due! I am going to attempt to combine my first two weddings in this post. So I apologize in advance for the multitude of photos ahead. I won't be including a lot of the photos from these couple's final galleries, just some of my favourites and I know there's a lot of you out there waiting to see these so enjoy! :)
In May I had the opportunity to shoot my very first wedding! The skies were nothing but a blanket of clouds that day - which I was absolutely thrilled about! It was a little on the chilly side, however, but the day ran smoothly without a single hitch and I couldn't have asked for a better couple to kick start my Wedding Photography career! Robert and Megan flew home from North Bay, Ontario to celebrate their marriage with their families and friends. They were so relaxed and easy going and above all else, they put 100% of their trust in me to capture their special day without ever seeing any of my previous wedding work (because there wasn't any). They invited me to take photos for the Ceremony which was held in the Cherry Brook Baptist United Church in Dartmouth, followed by formal photos at Public Gardens in Halifax.
I think the main reason I have been putting off this blog post is because I was using my old dinosaur of a laptop to edit this wedding at the same time I was making the transition to my new iMac and since finishing this wedding I haven't spent longer than about 2 minutes on my old machine in hopes to keep my sanity.
Anyway, here is just a glimpse from my first two weddings ever!! I hope you all enjoy them as much as I enjoyed shooting them :)
Next up, I had the honour of spending the day with Kristina & Kevin in June :)
Much like Robert & Megan, these guys were so laid back and relaxed which made the day run so smoothly. We started shooting at their afternoon ceremony in Kentville followed by photos of the families and wedding party at Willowbank farm in Port Williams and then back to the Kentville Fire Hall for their reception.
Thank-you Robert, Megan, Kevin & Kristina for inviting me to take part in your big day!
Until next time,
Much Love <3
I am a proud Mommy of two beautiful children, loving wife to the most amazing life partner a gal could ask for and I am in love with photography.
